The can looks just like the Power Sugar Free except orange instead of blue. Once again I should mention the appeal that the can has. The design is just really nice. The title is a bit lengthy and I feel winded after saying it. Also, what is the X for? Why doesn't Rip It Power have an x too? Since when did X become such a popular letter?
This is probably the best of the Rip it series of energy drinks. I like the taste of the regular (sugary) version better, but I think that always goes without saying. Due to the calorie tradeoff though, this is much better if you care about your carb consumption. The artificial sweetener flavor isn't that strong, but lasts reasonably long. This didn't heavily detract from my enjoyment of the soda. This version tasted less fruity than the sugary version, but it's plenty carbonated, and stays that way for a long time.
As I've said so many times about the Rip it drinks, for the price, it's as good of an energy drink as you'll get. The energy is good, and better if you drink it without eating, or sometime well after eating. Unlike many energy sodas, I can tell I've been energized when I consume a Rip it Orange Suger Free.
This wasn't half bad, although I expected a little more from it having enjoyed the sugar free Power so much. The soda stayed nicely carbonated for the entire experience, which was very nice. The flavor is like a diet Sunkist. Even though the energy was moderate I still feel better having it come in a larger can. I just feel like I'm still getting my 98 cents worth. I think I'd rather have more soda with medium energy than a small soda that provided the same amount of energy (excluding Chaser which just rockets off the charts).
This gave me exponentially more gas than usual. Which doesn't particularly bother me, but if you see someone else drinking it, you may want to avoid them for about an hour. They are sure to Rip It! If you're drinking it, then I'll give you some advice, I prefer a steady 'crop dusting' method.
On the plus side this has no calories or carbs and even less sodium than the sugar free Power Rip It.
