Soda Club is the name of the company that makes many different flavors of drinks. The generically named Energy Drink mix is in the picture. The bottle makes 12 full liters of energy soda. The great thing about this is, it's as easy as making Kool Aid. You can't mess it up.
You may notice that the drink is 384oz., that's the uncondensed size, assuming you aren't going to drink the syrup. Are you?
Firstly, I was surprised how great this soda tastes. Since you make this soda (yes, you make it with a carbonator), you control how fizzy you want it. I like a really cold, really fizzy energy drink. It tastes a lot like a strong ginger ale, with a light fruit taste, perhaps a strawberry.
Soda Club is relatively energizing. It's not off the charts, but contains a goodly amount of caffeine. It appears to lack Ginseng (which I prefer be lacking in an energy drink), and Taurine (which I would like to see in this beverage). It does have a host of B Vitamins for a little natural energy incentive over coffee.
Value is where this product shines. Firstly, you do have to invest in the carbonator. This is a fixed cost, and a periodic recharge on the CO2 cartridge. This will go about $120. Now, before you swallow your tongue, that includes the carbonator, 2 gas cans (to make 220 liters of soda), 15 soda flavor samples, and 2 high quality reusable bottles. With that cost out of the way, it's time to save. At $9.99/bottle of mix, you can make 12 liters of energy drink, which equates to about $.83/liter of great tasting energy drink.
Now, since there is a higher 1-time cost, I am knocking this down slightly on value, but I'll tell you a few other selling points.
I was pretty hesitant about this energy drink, because it needed to be mixed, and somehow the more variables that are involved in something, the more I assume it will be messed up. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that this generically flavored soda was much better tasting than some of the leading brands that sell for $2. It was always freshly carbonated so you'd never get halfway into the drink and realize all the fizz was gone. Since Soda Club gives you liter containers to put the soda in, you can always have exactly the amount you want. I usually keep several 8oz sodas as well as 16oz sodas in my fridge for whatever mood I may be in. On the flip side, it's easy to get carried away and drink the whole liter if you're not paying attention, but what does it matter if all u have to do is go In the kitchen and make a little more?
This had a very decent amount of caffeine and energy to it, but I would not complain if there was more. Soda Club Energy Drink is so incredibly inexpensive that it's really hard to say anything bad about it. This drink is so convenient too since we drink so much energy soda, now we won't have to buy drinks in bulk and carry the heavy flats of drinks into the house and have them take up a whole shelf in my refrigerator.
