Caffeine Addict's Commando Bear Energy Drink Review

Now that I've had Hype Energy, I can say that Commando Bear tastes like Hype, without the carbonation. That's still pretty good, but besides milk, everything is better carbonated.

Otherwise, the name makes me think that Sega Genesis had this name translated. It reminds me of those Asian shirts that have Street Fighter-like characters in all manner of situation, with some poorly scribed American jargon on it. IE, some Sailor Moonish girl with hand raised in victory, with a caption stating, "Fight to Win", or perhaps some guys looking like they are straight out of "Bad Dudes", the Nintendo game, with the caption "Radical Enforcers". I mean, what is a "Commando Bear"?

Otherwise, Taste is good, and at just over $1, the value is all there. These are sort of hard to find, if you shop in grocery stores where they speak English. If you do find yourself in a market containing whole fish displayed on a pile of ice, pick up a Commando Bear (and all the other Thai drinks you should find there).

Energy Junkie's Commando Bear Energy Drink Review

Commando Bear Energy Drink is somewhere in the same category as Panther, and Carabao,. All are very pleasantly flavored with a sweet pineapple like taste. It is a noncarbonated beverage which means you should take them seriously when they say to serve chilled. This energy drink packed a great kick, but of course it should with the amount of sugar it contains, not to mention 170 calories which ranks it within the top 5 highest calorie containing energy drinks on this site.

I wasn't exactly thrilled at the label for this drink because if it weren't for the words 'beverage' on the front I would certainly not think that it is. Also it's competing for your attention in a room filled with packages with Keroppi like characters holding squid or dried pieces of shrimp. It really looks more like a little drum of oil with some bears on the front. Luckily it is available through online stores to save you the time and the fish smell.
